【摘要】:Presentsthemoreimportantphysicalandchemicalcharacteristicsofcompressednaturalgasvehiclefuelanddescribespertinenttestmethodsfordefiningorevaluatingtheseproperties.InorderforCompressedNaturalGasVehicles(NGVs)toeffectivelyprovidesatisfactoryandsafeoperationforusers,thereisaneedtoaddressspecificissuesrelativetotheuseofnaturalgasasavehiclefuel.Thetwoprimaryareasrelateto(1)compressedstorageofnaturalgasand(2)vehiclefuelsystemandengineperformanceissues.TheseprovisionshavebeenderivedthroughajointeffortoftheSAETC-7NaturalGasVehicleTaskForceandtheTechnologyCommitteeontheNaturalGasVehicleCoalition.Thisstandardwaslistedforpublicreviewinthe2/16/1996issueofStandardsAction.Itisbeingresubmittedduetosubstantivechangestothetext.
