【摘要】:Useofthispracticeisintendedtoreduceoccupationaldermatitiscausedbyexposuretothewetmetalremovalenvironment.Complaintsofdermatitisconditionsareoftenassociatedwithexposurestometalremovalfluid.Implementationofthispracticeandincorporationofmetalremovalfluidmanagementprogramhasthepotentialtoreducecomplaintsofoccupationaldermatitis.Elementsofaneffectiveprograminclude:understandingdermatitisandassociatedcauses;preventionofdermatitisandexposuretometalremovalfluids;appropriateproductselection;goodmanagementofadditives,microorganisms,andfluids;appropriateadditive(includingantimicrobialpesticides)selectionandadditivecontrol;appropriatetooldesignandassessmentandcontrolofmetalremovalfluidexposuresincludingaerosols.1.1Thispracticesetsforthguidelinesforreducingdermatitiscausedbyexposuretothewetmetalremovalenvironment.Thescopeofthispracticedoesnotincludeexposuretochemicalsthatenterthebodythroughintactskin(cutaneousroute),whichhasthepotentialtocauseothertoxiceffects.1.2Thispracticeincorporatesmeansandmechanismstoreducedermalexposuretothewetmetalremovalenvironmentandtocontrolfactorsinthewetmetalremovalenvironmentthathavethepotentialtocausedermatitis.1.3Thispracticefocusesonemployeeexposuretotheskinviacontactandexposuretometalremovalfluid(MRF).1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
