【摘要】:Inmakingpigmentedproducts,thepigmentisusuallydispersedinaportionofthevehicleinsomesortofmill.Atthisstage,itisnecessarytobeabletojudgeifthepigmentagglomerateshavebeensufficientlybrokenupsoasnottointerferewiththesmoothnessofthefinishedcoatingfilm.Thistestmethoddescribesawayofmakingthisjudgment.1.1Thistestmethodcoversmeasurementofthedegreeofdispersion(commonlyreferredtoasx201C;finenessofgrindx201D;)ofthepigmentinapigment-vehiclesystemsuchasliquidcoatingsandtheirintermediates.Itmayalsobeusedtoassesstheinclusionofparticulatesbyacleanliness(ortexture)rating.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
